
Taylor has “Dunn” It Again!
Sturgis Youth Claims World Championship Show Title
Fourteen-year-old Taylor Dunn recently competed at the 2011 American Junior Paint Horse Association Youth World Championship Horse Show in
Fort Worth, TX. In her first World Show appearance, Taylor claimed a Reserve World Championship title on her double registered APHA/AQHA horse, One Good Time Zipper.
They competed in two classes during the week long show. In their first class, they showed in the SPB 18 & Under Showmanship Class to five
judges and placed 3rd in the Overall Final Placings. In their second class, they showed in the SPB 18 & Under Western Pleasure Class to five judges and won the Reserve World Champion Title in the Overall Final Placings.
Taylor won a Gist Silversmith Reserve World Champion Belt Buckle, a Reserve World Champion Ribbon, a Tioga Territory monogrammed jacket,
a Big D monogrammed halter and lead rope, APHA General Store gift certificates, Video Horse World gift certificate, AjPHA letter jacket Reserve World Champion patch, and various other prizes.
Taylor is the daughter of Todd and Melissa Dunn of Sturgis. She has a younger brother, Hunter.
She enjoys helping her family operate their horse boarding stables located in Sturgis. Taylor plans on a career in the medical field and becoming a horse show judge.
Taylor attends Starkville Christian School and will be entering 9th grade
this fall. |
